Big Picture Chemistry

About This Curriculum
Big Picture Chemistry begins with the history of atoms starting with their formation within stars and ultimately from the Big Bang some 13.7 billion years ago. This sets the stage for understanding the chemistry behind the many environmental issues of today, such as global warming, pollution, and ozone depletion. The basic concepts of chemistry are then used to explore solutions to these issues. This includes solutions such as solar and nuclear technologies.
